But sis, did you even sell out?

Hi everyone,

I am writing with a big smile on my face because God has been so faithful AGAIN in helping me pull off another successful event. What made it successful, I ask myself? Numbers? Feedback? Profit? Impact? Obedience? And while all of those things and then some can equate to success, the most important ones to me were the last two. Impact and Obedience,

It was important for me to follow through on God's instruction, no matter how small the turn out would e.

Can I be honest? Numbers has always been a real dampener to me. Why? Because we've been taught that our success is quantitative, and don't get me wrong, some times it is. But how do you measure the unknown domino effect your actions may inspire? I believe that the answer to that question may not fully be answered until we get to the other side of eternity. And I am slowly becoming more comfortable with that.

I have realised that the planning part of an event is actually quite enjoyable, I am enjoying hearing God speak to me, about how He wants certain things, I am enjoying looking for venues and finding great gems in and around London. And I really love the feeling when He tells me who He has given a word for the event, I am big on collaboration. But what I am still battling with is dealing with the fact that I may not sell out, I am still working out how to maximise engagement on Instagram and how to reach my "targeted audience". And sometimes, when I obsess too much about those things, what I am really saying is "I don't trust God" and what " am also saying is

numbers means more to God than obedience and impact.

Which isn't true, God told Joshua 1:8 what how He will be successful, and wasn't targeted ads,

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Then He tells us HOW we should go about doing this, Joshua 1:9b

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

How comforting?? So I encourage you, to go out there and be that salt and light, because He is with you. Write the book, set up the saving account, start the devotional, create the bible study, write the vision! Be intentional about measuring success God's way and He will ensure that we are always making impact for His glory.

measuring success His way, definitely gets you smiling like this!

Love always,

Tumininu...x
